Lorrin is a daughter, Lorrin is a mum, Lorrin is a best friend. Lorrin matters because she matter to so many people, and she was this amazing human being that deserves an answer. What happened to her and deserves justice for finding out what actually happened to her. Despite everything that has been said by the police, despite all the assumptions, and the stigma, and everything else that has kinda gone on before this point, we need to know, someone out there must know something.
This has gone on for so long, for 13 years. It too long to wait for answers. Lorrin’s parents are getting older. Things are happening. You know, my grandparents, they're desperate for answers, and I just plead to everyone. Lorrin Matters, Lorrin Matters, every single missing person matters, but for me, you know, I just want to give my grandparents closure and give myself some closure and to really find out what happened to her and bring her home and lay to rest, if that's what that means.

The case was formally reopened by detectives from the Moorabool Crime Investigation Unit following fresh intelligence. January 2025 Bushland Search: Police and State Emergency Service (SES) teams launched an intensive search in roadside gullies and bushland around Shelford, located roughly 20 kilometres northeast of Bannockburn, acting on tips that her remains could be in the area. Dam Draining: Investigators simultaneously drained a farm dam in Dereel to eliminate the location and search for items of interest.
