"Megan Louise Mulquiney was just 17 years old when she disappeared from Woden Plaza, Canberra, on 28 July 1984. She was so much more than a missing person—she was a cherished daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend. Megan was kind, caring and full of dreams. She loved spending time with her family, enjoyed ice skating, and hoped to become a teacher. She had her whole life ahead of her, and for more than 42 years her family has been left searching for answers.
As Megan's cousin, I know that her story deserves to be heard. We believe someone, somewhere, knows something that could help bring answers to our family. It is never too late to speak up. Memories resurface, circumstances change, and even the smallest piece of information could be the missing piece of the puzzle. If you know anything about what happened to Megan, please come forward. Your voice could help bring the truth home after all these years."
This case relies heavily on community information. If you have any leads or information regarding Megan's disappearance, please come forward. Anyone with information which may assist in locating the whereabouts of Megan are urged to contact Crimestoppers on their website or free call 1800 333 000.
