In 1997, my mother embarked on what seemed like the journey of a lifetime... but she vanished without a trace, never to be seen or heard from again. She defied the stereotype of a typical missing person. What followed next has been extensively documented in various forms of media and podcasts, ultimately leading to the State Coroner of New South Wales declaring her deceased under unexplained circumstances. Yet, she remains missing.
To mark what would have been my mother Marion's 80th birthday, and to honour her story along with countless others who have disappeared, we are organizing the inaugural The Missing Matter, Marion Matters Memorial Walk on Sunday, October 5th, 2025. Multiple walks will take place across the country and around the world.
