"I want my sister Marion to be remembered not simply as a missing person, but as the person she was to us: a funny, caring young girl who played an important role in our childhood and whose influence has stayed with me throughout my life. Our mum was a single parent who worked two jobs to provide for her three children. Because Mum had so much responsibility, Marion had to take on a great deal of the caring for John and me. In many ways, Marion was like a mum to us. What stands out most when I look back is that she never made us feel bad about the responsibility she carried. She didn't make us feel like we were a burden. She simply cared for us, looked after us and made us feel loved.
One of my fondest memories of Marion is her love of Donny Osmond. She would listen to his music over and over again,
I believe the positive nature I have today comes, in part, from Marion. She was not just a name on a missing persons file. She was a loving daughter, a caring big sister and a young girl who gave so much of herself to her family. I carry her memory with me, she was my sister, she was loved, and she mattered. She still does."
