The Missing Matter
When a person goes missing, a fracture opens in the world. For the families left behind, time splits into two distinct eras: life before the disappearance, and the agonizing, open-ended limbo that follows.
At The Missing Matter, we believe that no human being should ever become a forgotten file in a cabinet. Every person who vanishes leaves behind a story that demands an ending, and a family that deserves peace.
Every Name Deserves an Answer
The missing matter because they are our mothers, our fathers, our siblings, and our children. They are individuals with lives, memories, and people who love them fiercely.
We refuse to let their names fade from public memory. We write their stories, share their faces, and demand answers because a society is judged by how it looks after its most vulnerable—and those who have lost their voice entirely. We will never stop looking.
Anyone with information about any missing persons are urged to contact Crimestoppers or Police. Alternatively, you can contact us directly by clicking the button below.

Our mother, Yvonne, is not just a missing person. She is a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin, friend, and carer whose life mattered and whose future was still unfolding.
Since her disappearance, precious moments have already passed in her absence, including the meeting of her first great-granddaughter, along with family gatherings and special occasions she should have been part of. These moments are the very essence of what it means to be human — sharing our lives with the people we love.
We miss not only the big occasions, but also the simple things: asking about our family history, seeking one of her favourite recipes, learning from her knowledge of animals, or hearing her familiar voice on the phone.
Yvonne was a deeply loyal, caring, and devoted person who touched many lives. Her absence continues to leave an immeasurable void in our family, and we remain committed to finding answers and bringing her home.

Eloise was a loving, caring and kind little girl who was adored by her 2 siblings as well as her parents. Future relationships were denied when she disappeared from the family home in 1976 and we can only imagine how Eloise would have grown up. What would be her achievements, her career path and what possibilities lay ahead for her. We are left to ponder these situations, what would life have been like if she remained safe in her bed? Past students who attended Beaumaris PS feel much the same and have expressed their dismay warmly remembering her in much the same way.
Particularly for me, Eloise was very special. Born the day before I turned 21, she was the best birthday I could have hoped for and I was looking forward to playing a significant role in her future. Coinciding with my birthday on 9th October, the 8th October remains a very sad day as I recall the excitement of her birth and think about what may have happened to her that evening.
