Deputy State Coroner Sarah Helen Linton officially ruled that Desmond Carr's death has been established beyond all reasonable doubt.  The formal investigation into Desmond Carr's disappearance is concluded, but the case remains an open missing person investigation.  Because Desmond’s remains have never been found, the case cannot be entirely closed by police.
