It’s been a little while and I’ve been super busy…but I’m hoping you are now following along with Joni and I through our new podcast The Missing Matter! What a crazy ride it’s been, I am so happy to have had the opportunity to work with the amazing team at Podshape to produce such a high-quality product so we can continue to share my journey to find my mum with you.
As the next faze approaches, I wanted to reach out and give you an update on The Missing Matter Memorial Walk I had planned for Sunday, October 5th 2025.
I have an amazing team of 59 awesome humans who volunteered from all over the world to help make this walk happen. Unfortunately, my dream to do this walk for my mum and all the missing was door stopped at every turn, much like my journey to find the answers as to what has happened to my mum.
Having to navigate numerous councils, in the case of London there were four, jump through more hurdles and having to pay thousands in indemnity insurances for every location (we were up to 20 groups), it was all becoming super stressful and sadly unaffordable and therefore unachievable.
I have since decided to ask everyone to do their own ‘unplanned’ walk on Sunday 5th October, splash on some green and take a selfie with the #TheMissingMatter and post to our socials. This means everyone can walk, wherever they are in the world, at whatever time suits them, and we will still be bringing awareness to the missing person space.
As I still have not had the opportunity to have a memorial for my mum, and she certainly loved entertaining, drinking cups of tea in beautiful teacups whilst indulging in delicious, tasty treats! What better way to celebrate her by hosting a memorial high tea for what would be her 80thbirthday.
It’s all booked!
This will be held at the stunning Hanworth House in East Brisbane from 2pm until 5:30pm on Sunday 28th September 2025
Your ticket will include:

We are working on putting the ticket sales together and hope to launch them by the end of the month (July) through Eventbrite.
So put a reminder in your calendar and keep an eye out next week for the link to purchase your ticket.
Lastly, if you are not close to Brisbane and unable to attend the high tea, but took time to register your interest in doing a walk and keeping connected, I want to say a massive thank you for taking time to stay invested in my mum’s story and my endeavours to find her and the truth as to what has happened! I certainly would not be able to do this without your care and concern. I do hope you can still walk for the missing on Sunday 5thOctober and know you are doing something positive in the missing persons space by helping bring awareness to this important cause.
